The state-of-the-art Viking Helgrim is a “baby longship,” meaning that the vessel is a shorter length to accommodate smaller river spaces. In this case, the river space is Portugal’s lovely Douro River. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for lots of light and port views, just like sister ships Viking Osfrid, Viking Torgil, and Viking Hemming.
Like her sister ships, Viking Helgrim offers lots of views on the Aquavit Terrace, where guests can dine al fresco at the bow of the ship. Indoor dining is also available. Complementary wine, beer, and spirits are offered at both lunch and dinner. Daily five-course meals are served up at The Restaurant.
Viking Helgrim passengers enjoy the pool, putting green, organic herb garden, and relaxing Sun Deck for both shade and sunshine. Live music is played in the Viking Living Room, and guests can shop onboard at the boutiques.
